PANELIST BIO

Ryan Brown - Ryan Brown marks his 29th year as an Agent with the ADR Agency, Hawaii’s leading model and talent agency. He represents models and talent in Hawaii, L.A. and throughout the Northwest. (U.S.) Licensed with the SAG and AFTRA, Brown services episodics, films, ad campaigns, and more.

His introduction into the industry was somewhat unexpected, but would lead to a short list of roles on national commercials for Diet 7-Up, Hilton Hotels and Levis (with famed photographer and director, Herb Ritts); as well as day player roles on the original Magnum P.I., and an unsuccessful pilot entitled, Trenchcoat in Paradise. His short stint in front of the camera would solidify that Brown's interest was behind the camera. He began working for his then agent and owner of ADR Agency, Ray Sasaki, in 1991. Brown and his wife Mandy purchased the agency in 1998.

Over the past 20+ years, he has witnessed Hawaii's market grow, making the film industry one of the most successful sectors of our state’s economy. From a talent perspective, he has seen first hand the development of the Hawaii talent pool from what was once considered ‘a resource of just 'background’ talent to what is today a dynamic pool of qualified, talented seasoned actors that work not only in Hawaii, but also globally.

Moderated by Rochelle Rose, National Director of Performers Programs, SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
