SYNOPSIS

This workshop will include a Q&A and a prepared reading session with an experienced casting professional..

Please prepare a scene under 2 min. 

A reader will be available on ZOOM during the class. 

All actors  will need to email a PDF. of their chosen scene to castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation for the reader by 7:00am PST on January 20. The subject needs to be Casting Access- Elizabeth Berra .  The body of the email MUST include the role that the reader will be reading if you are doing a scene.

CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Elizabeth Berra is a New York based Associate Casting Director currently working for Emmy Award winning Casting Director Alexa L. Fogel. Her recent credits with Fogel include the upcoming David Simon miniseriesWe Own This City(HBO),What If(MGM) directed by Billy Porter, the Oscar and BAFTA nominatedJudas and the Black Messiah(Warner Brothers), Ryan Murphy’sPose(FX) and David Simon’sThe Deuce(HBO) among others.

Before joining Fogel’s office, Elizabeth spent five years working for Emmy Award winning Casting Director Marc Hirschfeld. Credits while at Hirschfeld’s office included numerous network pilots, AMC, Starz and Netflix series, along with US casting forKilling Eve(BBC America) and Bryan Fuller’sHannibal(NBC).

Prior to working in television and film, Elizabeth got her start in casting working for Casting Director Tara Rubin on Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Elizabeth has served on the Casting Society of America’s New York Board of Governors since 2018 and is a proud graduate of Tulane University and the CAP 21 Conservatory.

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this workshop.

Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register.

NO LATE ARRIVALS . Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
