SYNOPSIS
This class will include a Q&A and a PREPARED READING SESSION with an experienced casting professional.
Actors will perform a 2 min scene from film or TV that most appropriately represents them.
All RSVP'd actors will need to email castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation a PDF of their chosen scene for the reader, by 9:00AM PST/12PM EST on Monday, April 3rd. The subject needs to be Casting Access - Sunny Boling. The body of the email MUST include the role that the reader will be reading.
RSVP'D actors will receive a Zoom invitation sent on the day of the class to participate.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Sunday "Sunny" Boling met her casting partner, Meg Morman, in the Feature Casting office of 20th Century Fox, working on a variety of films, including Ice Age, Dude, Where’s My Car?, From Hell, One Hour Photo, Unfaithful, Behind Enemy Lines and Big Momma’s House. They opened their own shingle in late 2004.
Their credits include the award winning films The Ballad of Lefty Brown (starring Bill Pullman, Jim Caviezel, Kathy Baker, Tommy Flanagan and Peter Fonda), Hello, My Name is Doris (starring Sally Field, Max Greenfield, Stephen Root, Tyne Daly), Hard Luck Love Song (starring Michael Dorman, Sophia Bush, Dermot Mulroney and RZA), Dramarama (starring Anna Grace Barlow, Megan Suri and Nico Greetham), I Believe in Unicorns (starring Peter Vack and Natalia Dyer), Take Me Home (starring Sam Jaeger, Victor Garber and Lin Shaye), Dear Lemon Lima (starring Melissa Leo, Beth Grant, Elaine Hendrix, Meaghan Jette Martin and Vanessa Marano), and Mississippi Damned (starring Tessa Thompson, Malcolm Goodwin, DB Woodside and Malcolm David Kelley). Together they also cast the hugely successful feature Waitress (starring Keri Russell, Nathan Fillion, Jeremy Sisto, Cheryl Hines and Andy Griffith), which premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.
They have been nominated for 11 Artios Awards and won twice. Both have served on the board for the Casting Society at separate times; Sunny is currently on the board for the Casting Society Cares.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register.
Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will receive a link inviting them to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be sent the link to join the class.
