This online class will provide feedback from an experienced casting professional. No more than 20 performers will be participating.
Participants will receive a Zoom invitation the morning of the class.
On Thursday, March 30th at 9AM PST/12PM EST, Suzanne will be sent your Casting Access Profile Headshots for scene assignments for your self tapes. Please make sure your headshots are up to date. Instructions below if you need to update your headshot.
All class participants will have until Tuesday, April 4th 9AM PDT/12PM EST to rehearse, record, and upload a video containing your performance. You will upload the video using your YouTube account and email the unlisted YouTube video link to castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation with the subject - Suzanne Yavuz - Casting Access. The casting director will review your self tape performances and share live feedback in the Zoom Class.

CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Suzanne Yavuz, CSA has worked extensively both in the studio system and in independent casting, accumulating a diverse range of credits along the way under the tutelage of some of today’s best talents in casting. Her varied credits run the gamut from television series (Netflix's "You") to big-budget studio features (20th Century Fox’s “Logan”) to animated features (Blue Sky Studios’ “Spies in Disguise”). She has also worked on various youth programs for Disney and Nickelodeon, and on a number of television pilots and series for network, cable, and streaming platforms. Her notable recent credits include Disney’s newly announced coming-of-age comedy “Chang Can Dunk” for Hulu, the Disney+ reboot of "Cheaper by the Dozen", and the Freshman drama “Queens” for ABC. Suzanne specializes in global casting searches and finding unique talent. Suzanne is a member of the Casting Society of America.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this workshop. Your last frequency-restricted workshop must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register.
Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will receive a link inviting them to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be sent the link to join the class.
SELF TAPE REQUIREMENTS
Your video will ONLY be accepted IF:
Your video is shot horizontally. If you need to shoot on an iPhone or tablet, turn it sideways.
It is appropriately framed. Standard framing is top of the head to mid chest.
The video has good sound, clarity, or lighting. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it cannot take away from your performance.
You have a non-distracting background. If you cannot provide a solid background, a minimal background is best.
Your video DOES NOT have title cards or subtitles. They are unnecessary.
Your video is set as Unlisted. Videos that are Private or Public will not be accepted.
You “share” the video through YouTube. You must email the video URL to the specified email address.
You mark your video as Not Listed for Kids. Videos are unable to be sent to the instructor with this setting. (ie Listed for Kids means content for children.) Click here to watch a video tutorial.
