He believes that casting is key to the success of a project, and that having the ability to successfully network and seek out the ‘right’ actor for each role is essential in the production’s development process. Scott has been mentored by, as well as worked alongside Emmy Winning Casting Director (Homeland), Judy Henderson. Film credits include: Stephen Sondheim’s movie musical adaptation of Merrily We Roll Along (starring Ben Platt, Beanie Feldstein, Paul Mescal, and directed by Richard Linklater), Warriors of Stone, and Delikatessen. Select Off-Broadway (The New Group): Evanston Salt Costs Climbing, The Seagull/Woodstock NY (starring Parker Posey), Sabbath’s Theater (starring John Turturro, and directed by Jo Bonney), The Seven Year Disappear (starring Cynthia Nixon and Taylor Trensch) and All of Me (starring Kyra Sedgwick). In January of 2024, Scott opened his own casting company (Charles Casting Company), and has cast the upcoming feature film Hello Beautiful (starring Tricia Helfer, Tarek Bishara, and Susan Shalhoub Larkin). He is currently working on a few more independent feature films, one of them titled, Café Montevideo.
