SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Christi Holliday, followed by a prepared work session. 

Participating actors will choose, prepare and perform two contrasting sides from film or television.  

Additional preparation details will be sent upon RSVP confirmation.


ABOUT CHRISTI

Christi Holliday is a casting director with over 12 years of experience in discovering and nurturing top-tier talent. A graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Media, Christi launched her career as a talent agent at J Pervis Talent Agency under the legendary Joy Pervis in Atlanta. There, she honed her keen eye for talent and developed a passion for discovering and fostering emerging stars.

In 2017, driven by her desire to give more actors the chance to achieve their dreams, Christi transitioned into the world of casting. She joined Pierre Casting, where she worked alongside the renowned George Pierre, swiftly rising from Casting Assistant to Casting Associate. In 2019, Christi took her talents to Los Angeles, working with the esteemed Leah Daniels-Butler.

Christi's portfolio includes projects such as: BET’s electrifying “American Soul,” MRC’s gripping “The Blackening,” Apple TV’s thrilling “Manhunt” featuring Tobias Menzies, Anthony Boyle, Glenn Morshower, and Lovie Simone, WarnerBros’ captivating “The Big Cigar” starring André Holland, Tiffany Boone, and Moses Ingram, Disney+’s enchanting musical "Sneakerella," Netflix’s delightful “The Perfect Find” with Gabrielle Union, Gina Torres, and Keith Powers, Fox’s iconic “Empire,” Searchlight Pictures’ heartfelt “Supremes at Earls-All-You-Can-Eat” starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Julian McMahon, Sanaa Lathan, and Uzi Aduba, Disney’s uplifting “Saturdays,” and Peacock’s star-studded “Fight Night” featuring Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle, and Terrence Howard. Christi has also consulted for Viacom/CBS and conducted worldwide talent searches for Nickelodeon and Disney.

She is dedicated to showcasing only the best talent for compelling performances on screen, with the goal of providing directors and writers the talent they need to bring their stories to life.


REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

NO LATE ARRIVALS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.

Cancellations are required by the specified cancellation date for that class. Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.  Those who have been seated by the start date are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before the start date if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Check-in begins 15 minutes to the class start time.  If you arrive after the start time, you will not be admitted and it will be counted as a no-show.

Attendance for the entirety of the class is required or it will be counted as a no-show.

The use of any type of gun or weapon props are prohibited in classes.
