BIO:

Jason Clarke is one of the most respected and versatile talents working in Hollywood today who continues to be a magnetic presence in film and television, delivering layered, authoritative performances that reflect the depth and complexity of his craft.  

Clarke can currently be seen as the lead in the Apple TV series 'The Last Frontier,' a gripping crime thriller in which he plays U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick, who is forced to protect a remote Alaskan town from a wave of external threats. The series created by Jon Bokenkamp ('The Blacklist') and Richard D’Ovidio ('The Call'), continues Clarke’s streak of strong, complex leading roles. Clarke also executive produced the project.    

Simultaneously, He was recently seen in Hulu’s limited series 'Murdaugh: Death in the Family,' portraying the notorious South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh in a chilling dramatization of the real-life scandal. Clarke’s performance was widely praised by critics for its restraint and precision, capturing both the charisma and unraveling of a man consumed by deceit and downfall.

Also, this fall, Clarke reunited with Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow ('Zero Dark Thirty'), appearing in her feature film for Netflix, 'A House of Dynamite,' a chilling, thought-provoking political thriller. The project marks another significant collaboration between the actor and filmmaker, and continues Clarke’s association with bold, politically resonant storytelling. 

Upcoming, Clarke recently wrapped production on the Taylor Sheridan – written action movie, 'F.A.S.T.' which will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures and comes from producers David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford of Heyday Films and Sheridan and Jenny Wood of Bosque Ranch Productions.   

In film, Clarke was recently seen in Christopher Nolan’s 'Oppenheimer,' the Oscar-winning epic that explores the life of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer. The film boasted a stellar ensemble including Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, and Matt Damon as well as 'The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial,' the final film directed by the legendary William Friedkin. Premiering at the Venice Film Festival and later released on Paramount+, the film showcased Clarke in a commanding performance as a Navy prosecutor navigating themes of loyalty, authority, and moral conflict opposite Kiefer Sutherland.   

Clarke has delivered acclaimed performances across a variety of genres and films, including 'Zero Dark Thirty,' 'Chappaquiddick,' 'Mudbound,' 'The Devil All The Time,' 'Pet Sematary,' 'Everest,' 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' and 'Terminator: Genisys.' His extensive body of work includes collaborations with celebrated directors such as Damien Chazelle ('First Man'), Baz Luhrmann ('The Great Gatsby'), and Terrence Malick ('Knight of Cups').  

Additional film credits include 'Serenity,' 'The Aftermath,' 'Hotel Mumbai,' 'Silk Road,' 'The Desperate Hour,' 'Lawless,' 'White House Down' and 'Public Enemies,' among many others.  

On television, Clarke earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West in two seasons of HBO’s 'Winning Time: The Rise of The Lakers Dynasty.' The series, created and executive produced by Adam McKay and based on Jeff Pearlman’s book Showtime, explores the iconic team’s meteoric rise in the 1980s. Clarke’s performance was widely praised, with Slash Film calling it “expertly portrayed” and Slate deeming it “fantastic.”  

Clarke first broke through in Showtime’s critically acclaimed drama 'Brotherhood' and later starred in FOX’s 'The Chicago Code' and opposite Helen Mirren in HBO’s 'Catherine The Great.'  

In his native Australia, Clarke appeared in the award-winning 'Rabbit Proof Fence' and the series 'Mercury.' He is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne and has worked extensively in theater as both an actor and director.
