SYNOPSIS

This class isn’t about day jobs. This is about exploring all of the realistic avenues with which you can make money as a union actor so that you can move closer to receiving benefits. In this class we'll dive deeper into background work, content creation, and other alternative ways to gain momentum financially.

Actors will leave with a comprehensive account of all of the different types of work available to them and the ways in which they can earn money as a union member.

Small Group Sessions are facilitated discussions with the goal of digging deeper into some of the information and advice shared within the panels. These sessions provide a time to break down concepts into practical action items by which an actor can individually apply to their professional pursuits.

This session will last for 1.5 hours. Participants must stay for the whole time.

Please bring a pencil or pen along with something to take notes.

This workshop is for SAG-AFTRA members 18 years and older.

Class Leader: Michelle Lulic, Performers Programs Education Facilitator, The SAG-AFTRA Foundation
