Join us for a panel covering conventions as a real income stream for actors, engaging with fans one on one, how to book appearances and build them into a working career, whether an agent for appearances is necessary, sourcing materials and merchandise, and turning a popular character into a recurring part of your income. The panel includes Phil LaMarr (Justice League), Isaac Robinson-Smith (X-Men '97), David Yost (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and Lenore Zann (X-Men '97), moderated by Ted Sroka, SAG-AFTRA Foundation.

BIOS:

A Los Angeles native, Phil LaMarr is an alumnus of Yale University and The Groundlings Theater and is perhaps best known as one of the original cast members of MAD TV, the voice of SAMURAI JACK, “Hermes” on FUTURAMA,  “Static” on STATIC SHOCK,  “Green Lantern” on JUSTICE LEAGUE and as "Marvin" in PULP FICTION. For over 30 years, Phil has thrilled audiences with his work on camera and behind the mic on TV shows such as FAMILY GUY, YOUNG JUSTICE, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, STAR TREK:LOWER DECKS, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL, GET SHORTY, LUCIFER, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM and VEEP; feature films like MADAGASCAR 2, INCREDIBLES 2, and THE LION KING (2019) and video games including JAK & DAXTER, FORTNITE, SHADOW OF MORDOR, and the METAL GEAR SOLID, INJUSTICE and MORTAL KOMBAT series. In recent time there are new episodes of FUTURAMA on Hulu and an Audible’s series MORIARTY with Phil performing the role of “Sherlock Holmes”.His stage work includes productions with The Actor’s Gang, South  Coast  Repertory, Sacred  Fools  Theatre,  and Phil also portrayed “Cowboy Curtis” in "The Pee-wee Herman Show" both on at The Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway and in  the Emmy-nominated  HBO  special.  Currently, Phil  is  performing monthly  onstage with "THE BLACK VERSION," performing onscreen in the rapper LOGIC’s film PARADISE RECORDS and indies SWOLE MATE & BUZZ Full credit list on IMDb.


A chance viewing of “The Simpsons” cast on “Inside the Actor's Studio” changed Isaac Robinson-Smith’s life. It was then that he realized he could make a career doing what, unknowingly, he’d been preparing for since he could talk.

As a precocious two-year old, Isaac imitated his beloved animated characters learning their songs and living in their imaginary animated world. As a mixed-race black actor, Isaac finds pride in being part of a growing diverse landscape of acting. Looking ahead, he is very excited to keep telling stories whenever, and however he can.


David Yost started his career starring in the #1 kids show, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," which has garnered him millions of fans throughout the world. David starred in over 200 episodes of the original TV series plus the feature film "Power Rangers: The Movie." He returned to the franchise in 2023 leading the Netflix Special “Once and Always.” 

David just finished shooting a proof of concept short film for his current project entitled “Common Terry.” “Common Terry” is about a famous investigative journalist who has to rebuild his life by becoming a professor at a University. He, along with two of his students, are thrust into the role of saving humanity from an alien takeover. Check it out at www.common-terry.com

Behind the scenes, David has had a very diverse background in Production. He has been a producer on numerous scripted and reality TV series. He served as a Producer on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and "Temptation Island,” held the title of Director of Production and Administration at the Sci Fi Lab for the SyFy Channel, was the Manger of International Licensing for Pioneer/Geneon Entertainment and was a Location Manager for numerous scripted comedies.


Award-winning actor and author Lenore Zann burst onto the entertainment scene at the age of 20 with her powerful portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the rock opera Hey Marilyn!

With hundreds of screen credits as well as Animation, Radio, and Games, she has performed in live theatre,film and TV around the globe. Recurring roles in TV series include Street Legal, Law & Order, and her new series Revival (which premieres on Netflix TODAY).

Watch for her in the upcoming live action film Legend of the White Dragon, starring Jason David Frank which opens in 1000 theatres in two days - Aug 28th - and the animated musical feature film Space Bears. A professional singer as well as an actor, Lenore’s music is also available on Spotify.

A published author, her recent memoir A Rogue’s Tale is available on Amazon and Audible, and is currently being developed as a feature film.

However she is best known and beloved by fans worldwide as Marvel’s iconic southern superhero ‘Rogue’ - a role she originated in the 90’s in X-Men:The Animated Series and is continuing to portray in Marvel Studios new hit series X-Men ‘97, and the popular Interactive game Marvel Rivals.

A tireless social justice champion, Lenore put aside her acting career to dedicate 12 years to public service as an elected official in Canada. She served for four terms at both the State and Federal levels of government culminating as a Member of Parliament in Canada’s House of Commons. Her Private Member’s Bill, “A National Strategy Respecting Environmental Racism” is the first bill of its kind in North America - passing into law in Canada on June 20, 2024.

Once her time in office ended, Disney invited her back to Hollywood to reprise her now-iconic role of ‘Rogue’ in their popular new Marvel series, X-Men ’97 which debuted in 2024 to widespread critical acclaim and international success including Primetime Emmy and Critics Choice recognition.

This unprecedented success has contributed to a renewed international profile for Ms. Zann’s artistic legacy and solidified her global cultural impact which has led to public appearances on panels, podcasts, and signings at Comic Cons across North America and around the world z

Lenore has also received critical acclaim as an author for her one-woman play The Marilyn Tapes (which she performed in New York off-Broadway). And her recently published memoir A Rogue’s Tale is now available on Amazon and Audible. She is currently developing projects including a feature film version of her memoir, an animated series, The Aussie Six, based on her late father’s children’s book series. And in October she’s agreed to be Executive Producer on a new horror film The Hanging Man.

Lenore has been also been recognized for her work as a parliamentarian. The recipient of several awards and citations including: ACTRA National Award for Best Actor, Duke of Edinburgh Gold Lifetime Award, Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Award for Contribution to Arts and Country, and the 2024 King Charles III Coronation Award for Contribution to Environmental Protection and Country.
