This workshop is for English and Spanish speakers.

If you are a billingual actor, fluent in Spanish and English, new opportunities can abound.  This workshop is geared towards helping you better undertstand some of the nuances that come with voicing projects in both languages. Participants will work closely with Sylvia Villagran, whose talent and versatility have made her an in-demand voiceover artist in both markets. It promises to be a fun, educational and informative evening with an industry pro.

About our instructor

A native Angeleno, Sylvia Villagran grew up with the “only Spanish spoken in the home,” rule and thanks her parents for her serious bilingual skills. Those skills, along with the ability to switch her voice from sophisticated to urban hip have made Sylvia one of the most versatile voice actresses working today, in both the English and Spanish market.

Sylvia Villagran is currently the promo voice for Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune and the female promo voice on Telemundo.  In 2015 she was the voice of the 20th annual Critics Choice Awards and Premios Juventud on Univision.  She was the announcer for the MTV VMAs 2014, the Writers Guild Awards, several years running, and the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
