Getting to grips with accounting and taxes can be a daunting prospect for anyone and even more so if you have to get to understand a whole new system. Join us and a panel of accountancy experts who are well-versed in the entertainment industry, for a guided tour through the rules, the do’s and the don’ts of money management and filing taxes correctly and on time.

PANELIST BIOS
Jordana Capra, independent tax professional
Jordana has shot over 200 Commercials, Guest Starred on over 20 TV shows and has shot over 15 films. Some of which you’ve seen! She’s been a Screen Actors Guild member for over 30 years. And most recently competed in her first Physique competition, the most feminine category of Body Building, and took first place in the Muscle Beach Memorial Day competition! She has been preparing tax returns with Chuck Sloan & Associates for 5 seasons, and loves it! It’s part knowing the ever changing tax code, part hand-holding, and part being a psychologist, with a hint of the creative thrown in for good measure. Like acting, taxes are not black and white. Yes, Jordana is a right AND left brain kind of person!
Pati Lauren, independent tax professional
A working actor/producer herself, Pati exemplifies the perfect balance of “show” and “business” by serving the industry as a tax accountant and financial therapist. Her personal experience of receiving various and fluctuating streams of income is what led her to merge her passion and knowledge for entertainment and financial literacy to assist fellow artists with managing their money. One of the things Pati loves most is to educate and empower other artists to best plan for tax time as well as their future. The variety of her acting credits range from network television, theater, voiceover, hosting, and her prominent work in independent films. When not on set, Pati enjoys cooking, baking, yoga and random chats with strangers who she turns into friends.
