This program is FULL

The SAG Foundation relies on the generous support of volunteers like you.

Before you can volunteer for the SAG Foundation, you need to attend a Volunteer Orientation session. At the orientation, you will be given information about the volunteer program, your tasks and Foundation policies.

This Orientation is for current and new volunteers.

Volunteer Application Process:

  1. Complete the Volunteer Application if you have not already done so. Your Volunteer Profile can be found by logging into the website and going to MY ACCOUNT.

  2. Sign up to attend this Volunteer Orientation by RSVPing.

  3. Attend the orientation on October 16th. The orientation will last approximately 90 minutes.

  4. Interview with a staff member at the orientation.

  5. Wait for your application to be processed.  You will receive a confirmation email when your application has been approved.

We encourage you to volunteer at least 9-10 hours every calendar year (approximately 3 events between January 1st and December 31st).

Acceptance and Appointment of Volunteers:

The SAG Foundation reserves the right to accept or deny a volunteer application. Service as an active volunteer begins with completion of all the necessary steps to qualify for a volunteer position and an official notification of acceptance. Confirmation of active volunteer status may only be given by an authorized representative of the SAG Foundation Volunteer Program. No volunteer shall begin performance of any position until they have been officially accepted for that position and have completed all necessary screening and paperwork. At the volunteer orientation, each volunteer shall receive a copy of the SAG Foundation volunteer service agreement.

Recruitment and Equal Opportunity:

Volunteers are recruited by SAG Foundation on a pro-active basis, with the intent of broadening and expanding volunteer involvement in our mission to provide vital assistance and educational programming to the professionals of SAG-AFTRA while serving the public at large through our signature children’s literacy programs.

The SAG Foundation does not discriminate against, nor does it tolerate discrimination against or harassment of, any person based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status. Marital status, citizenship or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Volunteers are recruited based upon their skills, abilities and suitability to perform volunteer responsibilities.
