The Spanish language voiceover market is expansive.  For Spanish speaking voice actors, learning more about the various opportunitites within the market can provide them with other avenues to showcase their VO talents.  Advertisers want to reach the Spanish language market and actors can capitilaize by learning from pros that work in this market consistently.  In this workshop actors will work through a variety of commercial copy with voiceover veteran, Alex Vargas-Lugo.

About our instructor

Alejandro (Alex) Vargas-Lugo is one of the most-heard voice over talents in Mexico and the United States. He has voiced countless radio and TV commercials in Mexico, Central and South America and the United States for brands such as Ford, Toyota, McDonalds, Febreze, HEB, Land Rover and Time Warner Cable, to name a few. He has also worked as a creative copy writer, so he is equipped with an in-depth understanding of the advertiser’s point-of-view, as well.

He has voiced trailers for films, the Other Woman, Maleficent, Cinderella, I Legend, Need for Speed, and most recently, Southpaw. For Mexico he has worked with 20th Century Fox voicing radio and TV campaigns for the films, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, X-Men: Last Stand, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Wolverine, Titanic 3D and Fast 5. In addition, he is currently the voiceover announcer for Univisión in San Francisco, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.  He is repped by TGMD.
