Synopsis:

For many voiceover actors, voicing animated characters is the uiltimate dream gig.  So what are the most important skills an actor can bring to the animation table?  There are many, however the key is one's ability to actually act.  This seems obvious, but it is often a secondary thought. In this workshop, Portia Scott will focus on:

  • Basic Technique- Relaxation & awareness- to prep the actors instrument

  • Effective Memory and emotional recall

  • Character development

  • Connecting technique to Animation copy reads

Also, for better preparation for this class and your acting career in general, Portia suggests you read: Acting: The First Six Lessons by Richard Boleslavsky

Check in begins at 6:45pm and the workshop is from 7:00pm-10:00pm.
