Attending the BookPALS Reader Workshop provides an opportunity for us to meet and for you to get to know other BookPALS readers. Logistically, The Workshop is a dress rehearsal and prepares both new and veteran volunteers for a successful classroom performance. Readers will learn and practice effective classroom management techniques, tips for selecting great stories, read aloud tricks of the trade, instructions for logging volunteer service hours, how to's for collaboration with the schools and teachers, and as a Thank You for sharing your time and talents, you will receive a BookPALS Book Bag to carry to your classrooms!
