Once you have completed the requisite Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab online application (see Performers Programs on our site), you must complete the orientation in order to begin using the Lab. This orientation covers lab policies, aspects of sound, file formats, sample rates/bit depths, audio interfaces, microphones, functions of recording and a demonstration of a typical voiceover recording, including editing. The orientation is from 9:00am-11:00am.
Please do not go to the PH Level prior to our check-in time, which is 8:40am-8:50am
Check-in will be in the lobby of the building (5757 Wilshire Blvd) south of the security desk.
You must have your valid SAG-AFTRA or AEA membership card and a photo ID at check-in. Without them, you will not be admitted.
Check-in will be from 8:40am-8:50am.
If you arrive late, you will miss your opportunity to attend orientation. Please leave ample time to get here from your start point.
If you arrive late and no one is in the check-in area, go to the Mezzanine Level Suite M101 for parking validation.
Bring note taking materials.
Attendees will become VO Lab eligible after completing this VO Lab Orientation.
