SYNOPSIS
This online workshop will provide feedback from an experienced casting professional. No more than 20 performers will be participating.
When a new Casting Access Online workshop is announced, eligible performers RSVP to request a space in the workshop and are added to the workshop on a first-come/first-served basis. Confirmed participants will be notified by e-mail.
The date listed for the workshop is the day enrollment and cancellation close, and your headshots are sent to the casting director. Later that week, participants will receive sides specially selected for them by the participating casting director.
Once you have received your sides, you will have until the deadline to rehearse, record, and upload a video containing your performance of the sides. You will upload the video using your YouTube account and email the video link. Finally, the casting director will review your workshop video and provide notes.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Stuart Stone is an Emmy and Clio award winning casting director. He has cast hundreds of commercials and booked thousands of actors. Stuart is currently casting projects and with his many years as a top casting director he is a wealth of knowledge giving him the ability to provide actors with the best and most insightful information, guidance and education to help actors book acting roles and excel as a working actor. He not only cast commercial, but also casts many other various media projects. Stuart is based in Los Angeles however he casts across the country finding the perfect talent needed for his projects. Stuart cast kids, adults and celebrity talent as well as Manages a core group of working actors and has helped launch many careers. His NEW book “The Keys to Commercial Acting” now available on Amazon has 5 stars and is helping many actors book jobs. He is committed and passionate to help actors reach their goals as an actor.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Online application prior to registering for this class.
If you RSVP for this workshop you must be able to upload your video by 9:00am PST on March 13th. DO NOT BE LATE. Those who have been seated by March 6th are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before March 6th if you cannot comply.
This event is only open to actors who reside OUTSIDE of LA or NY.
Your video will not be accepted IF:
-Your video is shot vertically instead of horizontally. If you need to shoot on an iPhone or tablet, turn it sideways.
-It is not appropriately framed. Standard framing is top of the head to mid chest.
-The video has poor sound, clarity, or lighting. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it cannot take away from your performance.
-You have a distracting background. If you cannot provide a solid background, a minimal background is best.
-Your video has title cards or subtitles. They are unnecessary.
-Your video settings are not Unlisted. Videos that are Private or Public will not be accepted.
-You “share” the video through YouTube. You must email the video URL to the specified email address.
