SYNOPSIS
In this workshop attendees will gain an understanding about the audiobook industry and what skills actors need to be a part of it.
This workshop will end at 8:30 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS:
Attendees are asked to bring 1 or 2 pieces to read from genres they think they would be cast for (1-2 pages of a book).
Please make TWO (2) copies of these pieces: one for yourself and one for the instructor.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Johnny Heller
Johnny Heller is an award winning actor and teacher with over 25 years of experience in the industry in voiceover, stage, television and standup comedy. He has narrated nearly 600 titles for adults, young adults and children - working in almost every genre. Heller is a 2005 and 2009 Audie Award Winner, a 2014 Nominee for Best Male Narrator, a double nominee in 2012 & 2015, and was named a Best Voice of 2008 - 2011 and a Publishers Weekly Listen Up Award Winner 2008-2013. A winner of over 20 Earphone Awards, Audiofile Magazine named Heller one of the top 50 voices of the 20th Century. He is also an in-demand and popular coach at Edge Studios.
