The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is offering an intro editing class at our Los Angeles computer lab. This two-hour class is for SAG-AFTRA members interested in learning video editing skills.
The class is open to all video editing skill levels. Working knowledge of Mac or Windows computers is required. In this class you will learn basic video editing skills, how to import files, work with transitions, edit audio, and export to a playable movie file.
The class will use professional footage to teach basic editing skills. You may bring your own footage to work with during the one-on-one session.
Please Note: Basic computer skills are required to take this class. No exceptions.
Requirements: - Working knowledge of Macs or Windows computers.
-You are welcome to bring your own computer, but instructor will not provide troubleshooting if you have an issue with your computer.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation events are open to SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association (AEA) members only unless otherwise specified.
You MUST bring your paid-up, valid SAG-AFTRA or Equity ID card (or your receipt of current payment) for admittance. No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.
Cancellations must be made by midnight prior to the day of the event.
Late arrivals will not be admitted.
Failure to fulfill a SEATED reservation or arrival after check-in is completed will be recorded as a “No-Show.”
***NEW NO-SHOW POLICY***
Two "No-Shows" within two months will result in restriction from attending The Branding Workshop, Small Group Sessions and Computer Classes for three months.
The “No-Show” policy does not apply to WAITLISTED reservations – UNLESS you are moved to the seated list. If you have been moved to the seated list and will not be attending you must cancel by midnight to avoid being recorded as a “No-Show”. Your status will be changed no later than midnight prior to the day of the event – to give you time to cancel.
Waiting List –
If you are on the waiting list and a spot opens up you will be moved to the RSVP list and notified via email (by midnight prior to the day of the event). You may also check your status at any time by logging into our website. By signing up for the waiting list you are telling us that you are want to attend the event so if that changes please cancel your waitlist reservation. If you are still on the waiting list the day of an event you are welcome to show up to see if space is available. You WILL NOT be recorded as a no-show if you are still on the waiting list and do not attend or if you show up and do not get in.
When you register for an event you are expected to stay for the entire classas a courtesy to our guest speaker(s).
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or service to anyone.

•No food or drink is permited in the Computer Lab •No cellphone use in the Computer Lab •Web browsing limited to relevant sites only (casting sites, YouTube, Vimeo, etc) •Be respectful of members in the Computer Lab: keep conversation volume at a working level •Be respectful of the space: the Computer Lab is a place for work, not socializing
