SYNOPSIS
This workshop will include a Q&A and a prepared reading session with an experienced casting professional. Please prepare a monologue no longer than 2 min. in length.
The child must be a paid-up and active SAG-AFTRA member.
We will begin with a 20-30 min. Q&A, which parents are welcome to attend. After the Q&A, we will kindly ask that parents step out of the room for the prepared reading portion of class.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Liz Ortiz-Mackes is a casting director and indie film producer credited on projects which have screened at hundreds of US and International film festivals. Casting/producing highlights include: Off The Rails Lifetime Movie Network, Advantageous Sundance/streaming on Netflix/Independent Spirit Award Nomination, and Zombie
Honeymoon/Showtime.
In addition to casting, Liz is the Author of the acclaimed book, Ace Your Acting Audition, 2nd edition and a professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies.
REQUIREMENTS
You MUST be under between the ages of 11-17 to attend this class.
Actors must be paid-up and active SAG-AFTRA members.
NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. You MUST log in to your SAG-AFTRA Foundation account and sign up on our website. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from Casting Access staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVP'd.
