SYNOPSIS
This workshop will include a Q&A and a prepared reading session with an experienced casting professional.
Matthew will be assigning sides ahead, based on your Casting Access Profile, so be sure you have a current headshot uploaded. Please only sign up if you can absolutely make the class. Your sides will be sent to you 1-2 days before class. Please bring an extra copy of your side for the reader.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Matthew Glasner graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University in 2012. After graduating, he was an intern in the casting department at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Upon completing his internship in Chicago, he moved to NYC and interned with Telsey+Co., and Manhattan Theatre Club. He then became a full-time assistant to two legit agents at Innovative Artists. From there he was hired as the full time NY assistant at Barden/Schnee Casting and assisted casting for select projects, including Academy Award Winner for Best Picture Spotlight, Jessica Jones for Netflix, The INTERESTINGS (pilot), Good Girls Revolt (pilot), The Girl on the Train, Wayward Pines Season 2, among many others over the course of his 2+ year career there. Previous credits also include Casting Associate for Meghan Rafferty and Mia Cusumano on the USA Series, Falling Water as well as having recently concluded Casting Associate duties with Jonathan Strauss and Phil Huffman on Chicago Justice.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this workshop.
Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this workshop. Your last frequency-restricted workshop must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register. Also, should you register for more than one (1) frequency-restricted workshop at a time, the higher-placing workshop registration will be retained and all others will be deleted.
NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
