SYNOPSIS

In recent years, the audiobook industry has exploded as everyone is listening to content on phones, in the car, at the gym, on the subway. And the most popular genre? Romance!  In this two hour Valentine’s Day class, you’ll learn about the audiobook industry, narration techniques, how to create real characters, and set the right mood for the genre in a safe and supportive environment. And maybe even fall in love with audiobooks! 


INSTRUCTOR BIO

Piper Goodeve is an award-winning audiobook narrator who has recorded over 125 titles.  She has taught audiobook narration at The Museum of the Moving Image, Syracuse University, Marymount Manhattan, the Weston Playhouse, ACX University, and Stonestreet Studios at NYU/Tisch School of the Arts. She produced and directed the audiobook #SOBLESSED, narrated by Broadway stars, including Alan Cumming, Keala Settle, and Brian Dennehy. Recording for numerous publishers including Tantor Media, Audible Studios, and ACX, Piper has been called a “ vocal chameleon” and her performances reviewed as "distinct, real and nuanced."   As an actress, she  has performed at regional theaters across the country, London and Canada, and earned a Drama League Award nomination for Distinguished Performance. She holds an MFA from Brown University/Trinity Rep and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.


REQUIREMENTS

Must have completed two (2) solo booth sessions.
