PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

PART 1: PANEL DISCUSSION
Industry experts will give an overview of auditioning, headshots, resumes, audition tapes, social media resources for actors and more.

Workshop panelists include actor Wes Studi (The Last of the Mohicans, Heat, Avatar), casting director Rene Haynes (The Revenant, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse & New Moon), casting director Kathryn Zamora-Benson (Chambers, Ozark, and Atlanta), actor DeLanna Studi (Edge of America).

PART 2: WORKSHOP
A pre-selected group from the audience will have an opportunity to practice auditioning with on-the-spot feedback from the workshop leaders and casting directors.  See submission instructions below.

Submitting to Audition:
If you are interested in the opportunity to participate in the audition portion of the workshop, send your digital headshot & resume to diversityevents@sagaftra.org no later than 5 p.m. EST, March 4, 2019.

A workshop casting director will select a diverse group of participants from a wide range of ethnicities, ages and acting experience.  You will be notified in advance of the event if you are selected to audition, and you will receive sides to practice.  If you are not selected, you will still have the opportunity to drop off your headshot in person at the event for the casting directors.
