SYNOPSIS

When Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt began, Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) had just been rescued after being held in a bunker for fifteen years.  Now, four seasons later, her resilient spirit and unwavering optimism have helped her build a life for herself in New York. But it turns out that being an adult is about more than just putting the past behind her.  In the final episodes of the series, Kimmy has to choose between helping her friends, Titus (Tituss Burgess), Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) and Lillian (Carol Kane), and helping someone she’s never put first before: herself.

As the series comes to a hilarious and moving close, Kimmy is on a quest to change the world, one young reader at a time, with her book, "The Legends of Greemulax".   Titus mistakenly believes he’s famous after a bit part in the Netflix series “Daredevil”, and he struggles to “have it all” when he realizes that he may have to choose between his dreams of stardom and true love.  Meanwhile, Jacqueline fights to become Hollywood’s next power agent, despite only having two clients and an office she stole from a nerd. And Lillian spars with Artie’s unpredictable daughter, Sheba, over her inheritance.

The final season includes a double-sized “Sliding Doors” episode that explores how the main characters lives might have been different if Kimmy had never been kidnapped, plus guest stars Jon Hamm (Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne), Zachary Quinto (Eli Rubin), Greg Kinnear (as himself), Busy Phillips (Sheba Goodman), Bobby Moynihan (Fran Dodd), Amy Sedaris (Mimi Kanassis), Fred Armisen (Robert Durst), Jon Bernthal (Ilan), Steve Buscemi (as himself), Kenan Thompson (Roland), Ronan Farrow (as himself) and Lisa Kudrow (Lori-Ann Schmidt), among others.

Created and executive produced by Tina Fey (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock) and Robert Carlock (Saturday Night Live, Friends, 30 Rock), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has earned 18 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series for each of its seasons. In addition to Fey and Carlock, Jeff Richmond (30 Rock), Sam Means (The Daily Show, 30 Rock) and David Miner (30 Rock, Master of None, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) also serve as executive producers. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a production of Universal Television, Little Stranger, Inc., Bevel Gears, and 3 Arts Entertainment for Netflix.
