SYNOPSIS

This workshop will include a Q&A and a prepared reading session with an experienced casting professional. After the Q&A you will be meeting with Ally in a one on one setting.

Please prepare a scene under 2 min. in length. Please bring an extra copy for the reader.


CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Ally Beans is a Casting Director and Partner with Eisenberg/Beans Casting. Ally hails from Dallas, where she grew up aspiring to be an actress. After one season of summer stock, she decided to trade in her LaDucas for a seat “behind the table”. Ally completed the Tepper Semester sponsored by CSA and went on to work for Daryl Eisenberg Casting (Norwegian Cruise Line, Folger Theatre) and Judy Henderson Casting (Homeland, The New Group) before landing her first indie film deal. Ally regularly coaches actors for on-camera work and travels to schools across the country as a teaching artist. She holds a BFA in Theatre from Abilene Christian University and is a proud member of the Casting Society of America.

Current projects include FILM: Brother’s Keeper, Along The Way. THEATRE: Gettin’ The Band Back Together on Broadway, Saint Joan and Hamlet for Bedlam Theatre, Fade at Dallas Theater Center, The Way of the World at Folger Theatre, Norwegian Cruise Line. TV/Pilots: Camp, Mulligan. Previous credits: FILM: Chandler, Who We Are Now, Bite Me, Can Hitler Happen Here. TV/Pilots: Homeland, Laying Low. THEATRE (The New Group): Sweet Charity (starring Sutton Foster), All The Fine Boys, Evening At The Talk House, The Whirligig, The Sensuality Party. REGIONAL/OFF-BROADWAY: Baghdaddy, Austin, Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera (NYMF), The Dodgers (Hudson Theatre/LA), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Folger Theatre).


REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this workshop.

Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register. 

NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
