SYNOPSIS

Short and long form narration are the focuses of this class. Whether voicing documentaries, features or episodic content, narration can open doors to new opportunities and creative breakthroughs for actors.  This class will help you understand how to craft engaging narrative performances that can breathe new life into visual and audible content.  In addition to narration, Bill will also touch on other important aspects of voiceover that actors may find to be useful.

Program duration: 6:30pm-10:00pm


INSTRUCTOR BIO

Bill Ratner

Bill is one of America's most frequently heard voices on movie trailers, TV programs, documentaries, commercials, games and cartoons.  He is the original voice of Flint on G.I. Joe, Robot Chickeand Family Guy.  He is also an eight time winner of The Moth Storytelling SLAMS, where his stories are featured on National Public Radio.  Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Board of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab. and exclusively teaches voiceover to union members that are part of the VO Lab program.


REQUIREMENTS

If you have previously attended Bill Ratner's Speaking Narration at the Don LaFontaine VO Lab, you are not eligible to attend this class.  

If you are on the RSVP list for Ratner's Voicing Commercials, you are not eligible for this class.

Attendees must stay for the entire class, which is from 6:30pm-10:00pm.
