SYNOPSIS
THIS IS A TWO WEEK CLASS. DO NOT SIGN UP UNLESS YOU CAN ATTEND DEC 10th & DEC 17th.
This 2-week class will focus on how to prepare and nail a procedural audition (both co-stars and guest stars).
WEEK 1 - Tues, Dec 10th:
Lecture covering the following topics:
• What is a procedural?
• The basics of script analysis (who, what, where, when, why?)
• The importance of watching TV as homework and how to gain insight from it for your auditions
• How does your role fit into the larger story?
• The importance of wardrobe/hair/make-up choices
Scene work: Cold Reading Co-Star sides. There is nothing to prepare in advance.
WEEK 2 - Tues, Dec 17th:
Lecture covering the following topics:
• How to analyze the power dynamics in a scene
• How to identify and highlight important facts
• How to color the story with your point of view
• Feeling and conveying confidence in the audition room
• How to interpret confusing direction
Scene work: Guest Star scenes. Will be assigned 24-48 hours prior to class.
Actors will have an opportunity at the end of each class to ask questions, so as to address specific concerns and gain further understanding of the day’s lesson.
This class is a learning experience. It is not an audition or employment opportunity. As such, when this class is over, Kendra will NOT be taking home, nor be given access to your headshot, resume, or any of your promotional materials.

REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this workshop.
NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
