SYNOPSIS
This class will include a Q&A and a PREPARED READING SESSION with an experienced casting director.
Actors will choose a 2 page scene that most appropriately represents them from Film/Television. A PDF. of your scene MUST be sent to castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation by 3:00pm Wednesday April 1st. The body of the email needs to include the role(s) the reader will be reading. Failure to send the scenes by this day and time may result in non-entry to the class.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Geralyn Flood has worked on projects for ALL of the major networks in the industry: ABC, NBC, CBS, The CW, The WB, Freeform, Disney, Nickelodeon, etc. Previous TV credits Jeff Greenberg's Assistant on "Frasier", "According to Jim" and "I’m With Her”. During her 4 years at Zane/Pillsbury Casting, some highlights include Casting Director on the Disney pilot, "Good Luck Charlie", as the Associate CD on the USA Network pilot, "White Collar" and "Gary Unmarried", as well as countless other unseen pilots. In addition to her TV credits, Geralyn has worked on indie and studio films including three Mark Waters features (with Marci Liroff)- as an Assistant on "Just Like Heaven", an Associate CD on "The Spiderwick Chronicles" and Co-Casting Director on "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner. She also did all four seasons of the Nickelodeon show "Big Time Rush".
Since 2014 she's worked with Marc Hirschfeld and has been partnered with him for the past 4 years. In their time together, they've done two MTV series: "The Shannara Chronicles" and “Sweet/ Vicious”. They've also done many pilots for CBS as well as 3 seasons of the CBS series, "Man with a Plan", starring Matt LeBlanc. Marc and Geralyn recently won an Artios for "Live Television Performance — Variety or Sketch Comedy" for the ABC event, "Live in Front of a Studio Audience: All in the Family and The Jeffersons", produced by Norman Lear, Jimmy Kimmel and Brent Miller. She was also a Producer as well as Casting Director on the Indie Feature, "I'll Be Next Door for Christmas".
REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will receive a link inviting them to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be sent the link to join the class.
