SYNOPSIS

American showman and businessman P.T. Barnum once remarked, “Money is in some respects life's fire: it is a very excellent servant, but a terrible master.”  Living hand to mouth is not uncommon in our current economic landscape.  What’s more, the skyrocketing costs of residing in a major city coupled with an actor's fluctuating paycheck can make the concept of saving and investing money feel like a luxury.

However, as the proverb advises, the art is not in making money, but in keeping it. Learn how to improve your fiscal health and achieve financial freedom with tools for building and maintaining a savings plan, as well as how you can increase your investing potential.

Part I: I'm a little skeptical. Can I really save on a tight budget?
David Maurice Sharp, artist, author, and financial professional, will discuss feast or famine control strategies, as well as practical tips for how actors can learn to save regularly.

Part II: Alright, I've saved a little dough, now what?
Vonzell Brown, registered representative at NY Life Securities LLC, will provide an overview of options and strategies for growing your nest egg.

Part III: You've got questions, we've got answers - or we can tell you where to find them.
Audience members will have ample time for questions with David and Vonzell.
