SYNOPSIS

This class will include cold reads formatted to help actors get ready for auditions and how to best work in the room, followed by a Q&A.


CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Alexis Allen started casting in the southeast on productions such as One Tree Hill, Eastbound and Down, and We're the Millers. She made the move to Los Angeles in 2012 and has worked most notably for Laray Mayfield, Rich Delia, Courtney Bright/Nicole Daniels, Tamara Notcutt, and Sheila Jaffe in recent years. 

Alexis is currently working on 3 films slated for a 2019 release, one of which has just been announced at Cannes on Buffalo 8's slate, and another which is by the team that recently produced The Florida Project. 

She is passionate about actors and creating a more efficient casting process that benefits everyone, while bringing her industry into the 21st century by utilizing the technological tools that are at our fingertips. Her classes focus on audition and self tape tips, as well as how-to's for new and developing actors in representation, headshots, and submissions.


REQUIREMENTS
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register. 

NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
