BIO:

Casting is my dream job.   When I moved to Los Angeles, casting was not on my radar at all, in fact I was working for the corporate side of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels (I still love them).I hurt my back at the Auntie Anne’s charity golf outing and ended up having to have back surgery, while I was recovering I was watching a lot television and when I saw the casting credits on a show, I thought I might be good at that, but I had no idea where to start. I reached out to a lifelong friend who was a writer/producer and asked him if he knew of anyone who might be willing to sit down and talk with me about casting. Lucky for me, he had just finished working with Eric Dawson on a pilot; I went into the UDK office to meet with Eric and worked for him for 10 years.  I started off as a Casting Assistant, was quickly promoted to Casting Associate and eventually Casting Director.

In 2014 I partnered with Dorian Frankel.  We had a lot of successes, most notably we won an Emmy and an Artios for season 6 of HBO’s VEEP.  We nominated for another Emmy for season 7 of VEEP, but we lost to Fleabag. We worked on several other shows together, Baskets, Alex Inc, Future Man, Grand Hotel and several pilots that were not picked up.

Dorian decided to retire from casting, during the pandemic, so I promoted our Casting Associate Marlise, to full Casting Director.  We have primarily been working on 911 Lone Star for the last 3 seasons.

I love working on both, comedy and drama.  This past season of Lone Star was great because we really wanted to get back in the room with actors.  It was so great to have options, we read people in person, virtually on zoom or self-tape. It was a nice reminder that it is a community and we all need each other to succeed.
