This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director,Gayle Pillsbury, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will prepare and perform scenes of their choice from film/television. Additional information will be sent in your RSVP confirmation email.
To be eligible to take this class, actors must have 4 co-stars or one guest star, recurring or lead in a major studio/network/streamer film or TV series. Equivalent theater credits may be considered. MFA graduates from select colleges and universities may be considered. Eligibility for this class will be determined by the resume on the actor's Casting Access profile. Please ensure your Casting Access profile is fully up to date as we will only consider the information contained within your profile.
Performers' eligibility will be reviewed in the order they were added to the waitlist. Attendance will be confirmed via email if there space.

BIO
Gayle Pillsbury is an LA-based Casting Director who grew up in Long Beach, California and received a BA in English and Film from USC. During her 30+ year career, she has been both a talent executive and an independent Casting Director with extensive experience across all genres, comedy, drama, animation, independent film, commercials as well as theatre works for Circle X and the Bootleg Theater. As the Head of Talent and Casting at Imagine Television, she was fortunate to work with visionary storytellers including JJ Abrams, Aaron Sorkin, Noah Baumbach, David Lynch and Peter Berg and oversaw the casting of many projects including Felicity, Sports Night, 24 and Mulholland Drive. In 2000, Gayle partnered with Bonnie Zane to form Zane/Pillsbury Casting and enjoyed a successful 20-year partnership casting such shows as Pretty Little Liars, One of Us is Lying, White Collar, Burn Notice, Sneaky Pete and The Purge to name a few. She served as both casting director and co-producer on indie films Reminisce directed by Riverdale’s Madchen Amick and “A Desert” directed by Joshua Erkman which made its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2024 and is currently streaming on Amazon. While continuing to work in independent film, Gayle also serves as Co-VP of Membership on the CSA Board of Directors and enjoys working alongside her casting director colleagues to strengthen and deepen membership. Gayle lives in Echo Park with her husband, three children and their rescue Frenchie, Quasi.
