SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A with NY based Casting Professional Nina Pratt, followed by a cold read work session. 

Participating actors will work on commercial VO copy assigned in class by the casting professional.

ABOUT NINA

In 2025, after more than two decades as part of the GREY Worldwide casting department, most recently as VP, Director of Casting, Nina Pratt launched her Production and Casting Consulting firm, BLACK IRISH PRODUCTIONS.

During that time, she cast hundreds of commercials for iconic clients like P&G, Volvo, Pringles, UPMC and the original E*TRADE baby. Additionally, Nina was the Casting Director for six seasons at the inimitable Ensemble Studio Theatre where she is still a member. While there, she had the opportunity to work with such playwrights as Romulus Linney, Paul Rudnik, Will Scheffer and David Mamet. She also did the casting for the award winning Off-Broadway play, and feature film, 'The Exonerated' about innocent death row inmates directed by Bob Balaban for which she received the Casting Society's prestigious Artios Award for her work on the play.

Nina has cast every type of actor from exquisitely trained Broadway performers to rising young stars and very established celebs. She is a member of the CASTING SOCIETY of AMEICA and NEW YORK WOMEN in FILM and TELEVISION.
