SYNOPSIS
While many Voiceover performers grow accustomed to recording on their own, recording in a pair or larger format is an important skill. Voiceover recording in pairs occurs in auditions and bookings. Veteran Voiceover performers Joyce Gordon (recent participant on the Business panel The Evolution of Women in Voiceover) and Bob Kaliban will show you how to feed off a partner's energy and performance, and use it to inform your own.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS
Joyce Gordon
Joyce Gordon has enjoyed a successful career as a working actress in all aspects of film, television and radio for over 50 years.
Joyce is a voiceover legend, heard on thousands of commercials and also seen on camera as a standup spokeswoman for P&G and Duncan Hines. She was also an on camera spokeswoman on the Tonight Show with Jack Paar, Steve Allen and Johnny Carson. She has dubbed many foreign films as the voice of Claudia Cardinale, Jeanne Moreau, and Annie Girardot, among others. She is still heard on many telephone systems nationwide as well as being the telephone voice of the SAG-AFTRA P&H Plans.
Joyce led the New York Branch of the Screen Actors Guild as the first female president of SAG and was one of the original architects of our residuals system. She has served on their National Board of Directors for 25 years and as a National Vice President, and as a Trustee of the SAG Pension and Health Plans for 35 years as Board Chairman and now as Emeritus Trustee. She also currently serves as a Trustee of the Screen Actors Guild Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund, the John L. Dales Scholarship Fund, and The Actors Fund of America.
Bob Kaliban
Bob is an actor who has established a busy career on Broadway, motion pictures, radio, television, and has been seen and heard on thousands of commercials. His voiceover credits include spots for M&M's, Burger King, Chips Ahoy, Doublemint Toys R' Us, Ty-D-Bol, Calgonite, and so much more. Bob has devoted many years of service to the Screen Actors Guild. He served on the Board for twenty years, as President of the local New York branch for two terms, and has been a member of the Board Trustees of the Pension & Health Plans for forty years.
Bob likes to say that there are 5 stages of an actor's life characterized by the following questions: 1. Who is Bob Kaliban? 2. Get me Bob Kaliban! 3. Get me a "Bob Kaliban" type! 4. Get me young Bob Kaliban! 5. Who is Bob Kaliban? He has yet to reach this last stage in his career.
