SYNOPSIS

This online workshop will provide feedback from an experienced casting professional. No more than 20 performers will be participating. 

When a new Casting Access Online workshop is announced, eligible performers RSVP to request a space in the workshop and are added to the workshop on a first-come/first-served basis. Confirmed participants will be notified by e-mail. 

The date listed for the workshop is the day enrollment and cancellation close, and your headshots are sent to the casting director. Later that week, participants will receive sides specially selected for them by the participating casting director. 

Once you have received your sides, you will have until the deadline to rehearse, record, and upload a video containing your performance of the sides. You will upload the video using your YouTube account and email the video link. Finally, the casting director will review your workshop video and provide notes.

CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Sanford Casting opened in the Spring of 2000. During the past 15 years, Michael Sanford and his wonderful team have worked with many top commercial, television and film directors, production companies, and advertising agencies. Several of these clients have been nominated or have won the Oscar, Emmy, DGA and various other awards while collaborating with Sanford Casting.

In 2006, Michael broadened the company's vision to include casting projects in the Spanish Language market. In 2010, he launched a feature-length and short film division whose recent credits include, A Pebble of Love, A Reason, California Solo, The Artist, I Melt with You, Mosquita y Mari, The Sleepy Man, & Dustland. He shared the 2012 CSA Artios Award withhis mentor and fellow casting director Heidi Levittfor their collaboration on The Artist. Additionally, Michael received the 2013 Seymour Heller Award for Commercial Casting Director of the year, which is given by the Talent Managers Association.

REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Online application prior to registering for this workshop. 

If you RSVP for this workshop you must be able to upload your video by 9:00am PST on August 24th. DO NOT BE LATE. Those who have been seated by August 17th are expected to comply. You must cancel your reservation before August 17th if you cannot comply, or you will face a six month ineligibility period.
