SYNOPSIS

Three wanted Air Pirates embark on a risky gamble after discovering a lost child princess who may hold the ticket to their freedom.

Lunchtime Shorts is an opportunity to screen a short film and have a Q&A with the filmmakers all within the lunch hour. Come down on your lunch break to watch a film and learn about the filmmakers process in creating the work. 




PANELIST BIOS

Robin Phillips, director, co-writer
Robin is a day dreamer and native of the San Francisco Bay Area. Never one to pass up a challenge, he is always looking for creative an innovative ways to tell big, impossible stories on small budgets. It has led to a unique cross disciplinary background inclusive from modern motion capture technology to old school miniature and pyrotechnic FX. Technical background aside, Robin's stories always start from a place of heart, frequently following characters of a bumbling sort who have dreams, frequently delusions, of who and what they are, but are always challenged to meet their true potential. Robin holds a BA in Political Science/International Relations from Chapman University and an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Shyam Sundar Sengupta, producer
Shyam is an accomplished producer, with many film festival selections and multiple award winning productions under his belt. Merging business experience with creative finesse, Shyam works with a diverse range of media productions, from features to digital to commercials and more. His narrative work emphasizes character based story telling in unique and ambitious worlds. Shyam is a graduate of the MFA program at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts; his works have been seen at domestic & international festivals and in top online publications alike.
