SYNOPSIS

Jo is the bright spark in Claire's recently darkened reality. The two women soon find themselves in trouble with the law and in the blink of an eye, Claire discovers Jo is not at all what she seems.

The Independent Feature Screening Series provides the opportunity for independent producers, directors, writers and actors, to discuss the process of creating a feature length film while at the same time inspiring our audience to create their own work.

PANELISTS BIOS

Erin Cipolletti, actor, writer, producer
Erin studied Theater Performance and Creative Writing at the University of Central Florida before relocating to California for the UCLA Creative Producing Summer Intensive. Her first leading role in a film was selected and screened at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival where she first worked with fellow collaborators Ryan Michael and Daniel Denegre. As an actor, Erin has appeared in award-winning independent films, television shows and commercials and is an active member of SAG/AFTRA. Recently, she was selected as a finalist for Universal Pictures’ Emerging Writers Fellowship with her screenplay ONCE UPON AN ELEPHANT, as well as the AFI Conservatory’s Directing Workshop for Women with her short film, CHILDREN OF DUST.

Ryan Michael, director, producer
Ryan Michael is a writer and director from a small town north of Cincinnati. Fascinated by story and its significance in history and the human experience, he began his studies as a Literature major at the University of Cincinnati. During his third year, he left the program and transferred to Brooks Institute of Film and Photography in California where he became an awarded graduate from their Motion Picture and Video program. Ryan wrote and directed his short film, FORTÉ, about a talented pianist unable to overcome his demons and shot it on 16mm film. FORTÉ was privately screened at Sundance Film Festival and was selected by the Santa Barbara International Film Festival for their new filmmaker initiative. He is now in development on a sci-fi drama entitled SINGULARITY.
