SYNOPSIS
Chicago, IL
In this new form of Casting Access Online, actors will get a unique opportunity to perform and video chat with the specified Casting Director. Prior to the actual event, actors will prepare their own scene for the class. Then, at the venue they will participate in a Q&A and reading with the CD. Actors will perform one by one via video chat, then receive feedback on their performances. Readers will be selected from the class.
CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Jenny Ravitz is a New York based casting director at Jonathan Strauss Casting currently casting the hit NBC series Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med. In addition to her work at Jonathan Strauss Casting, Jenny served as casting director for Mason Street Warehouse, a non-profit theatre in Saugatuck, MI from 2011 - 2015, and has cast for various films, pilots, plays, musicals, and readings. She is a proud alumnus of Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia and a die-hard fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team.
REQUIREMENTS
Please prepare a SCENE from a TV show or film of two minutes or less. No monologues, and please bring a copy for the reader.
You MUST be able to be at the venue at the listed date and time in order to participate.
You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this workshop.
NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admited to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have no received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
