GUEST BIO

Five-time Academy Award-nominated and two-time Golden Globe-winning actress Amy Adams has built an impressive body of work, challenging herself with each new role. She is currently a SAG Award nominee for her portrayal of Dr. Louise Banks in Paramount’s Arrival. She may also currently be seen in Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals.

Adams earned her first Academy Award and SAG nominations for her role in Phil Morrison’s Junebug in 2005 and won an Independent Spirit Award, Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, National Society of Film Critics Award, San Francisco Film Critics Society Award and the Breakthrough Gotham Award. Adams also won the Special Jury Prize for Acting at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.

ARRIVAL SYNOPSIS

When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team – led by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate.  As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
