*** "WORKSHOP: BUILDING YOUR DEMO REEL WITH ADOBE PREMIERE ELEMENTS 14" - DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS ***
NOTE: This is a TWO HOUR class.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is offering a demo reel building workshop for SAG-AFTRA members interested in learning how to build and edit their demo reel using Adobe Premiere Elements 14. This class is not an introduction on how to use a computer, so basic computer skills are required. In this class you will learn the basics of how the program works and some of the basic functions used in Adobe Premiere Elements. Included in this class will be how to import files, copy and paste transitions, and export to a playable movie file for the web.
Please Note: This class is not an introduction on how to use a computer, so basic computer skills are needed. No exceptions.
Members must bring the following on a USB flash drive:
At least 2 video clips in MPEG-4 (.MP4) or Quicktime (.MOV) format.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of a Mac OS or Windows 7 PC.
- Desire and ability to learn to edit digital video footage using Adobe Premiere Elements 14.
- You are welcome to bring your own laptop to work on, but you will need to have your own Adobe Premiere Elements 14 software installed.
*** COMPUTER LAB RULES ***
SAG-AFTRA Foundation events are open to SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association (AEA) members only unless otherwise specified.
You MUST bring your paid-up, valid SAG-AFTRA or Equity ID card (or your receipt of current payment) for admittance. No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.
When you register for an event you are expected to stay for the entire class as a courtesy to our guest speaker(s).
Cancellations must be made by midnight prior to the day of the event.
Late arrivals will not be admitted.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or service to anyone.
Additionally:
• No food or drink is permited in the Computer Lab
• No cellphone use in the Computer Lab
• Web browsing limited to relevant sites only (casting sites, YouTube, Vimeo, etc)
• Be respectful of members in the Computer Lab: keep conversation volume at a working level
• Be respectful of the space: the Computer Lab is a place for work, not socializing
*** NO-SHOW POLICY ***
Failure to fulfill a SEATED reservation or arrival after check-in is completed will be recorded as a “No-Show.”
Two "No-Shows" within 60 days will result in restriction from attending Computer Labs or Classes for 90 days.
*** WAITLIST ***
If you are on the wait list and a spot opens up you will be moved to the RSVP list and notified via email (by midnight prior to the day of the event). You may also check your status at any time by logging into our website. By signing up for the waiting list you are telling us that you are want to attend the event so if that changes please cancel your waitlist reservation. If you are still on the wait list the day of an event you are welcome to show up to see if space is available. You WILL NOT be recorded as a no-show if you are still on the wait list and do not attend or if you show up and do not get in.
