SYNOPSIS

You know how during awards shows you hear that smooth voice informing viewers of the actrors they can expect to see during the broadcast or introducing the evening's presenters? Well, that is live voice announcing and chances are Randy Thomas is the voice you are hearing.  Performers will get to work with and learn from one of the most heard live voice announcers in the industry.  Randy will share her methods and techniques, as well as work with actors individually, offering direction and adjustments that voice actors can use to better understand what is expected of them in live voice announcing.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

America’s premiere female live voice announcer, Randy Thomas made history as the first woman to announce The Academy Awards©, The Emmy Awards©, The SAG Awards©, The AFI Awards©, to name a few. As the seven-time announcer of The Oscars©, and seventeen-time Tony© announcer, Thomas has been winning accolades and opening doors for female voice artists for over 20 years. In 2015 Thomas kicked open even more doors for women as the first woman to announce the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and most recently the Kennedy Center Honors.

In addition to voice over, with more than 20 years of experience as a radio personality in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Miami, Thomas has gone on to achieve her dreams as one of the most recognizable voice-over artists in the world as well as co-author of Voice For Hire: Launch and Maintain a Lucrative Career in Voice-Overs (Watson-Guptill Publications, a division of Random House Inc.).
