SYNOPSIS

This class will include a Q&A and a prepared classroom style reading session with an experienced casting professional.

Please prepare a film/tv monologue or scene two minutes in length or less. If you choose a scene, please bring a copy for the reader.


CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

CHAD ERIC MURNANE, CSA, has been casting theatre, television and film in both NYC and LA for nearly six years. He isa seasoned professional with an expert knowledge of musical theatre. He is committed to diverse, inclusive and intelligent casting and brings a fresh perspective to the industry’s ever-changing landscape. His immense passion for discovering new talent and goal of making theatre actors, an un-tapped talent pool, known to producers and filmmakers sets him apart.

Most recently, Chad was the casting associate on the re-boot of Friday the 13thPart 13 in conjunction with Lisa Fields Casting and Platinum Dunes. Highlights of recent credits include: The Fantasticks (Pasadena Playhouse) ,The Clean House (The Boise Contemporary Theatre), Cash on Delivery (El Portal Theatre, Dir. Ray Cooney), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Prism Theatrics), Hamlet (First Folio Productions) ,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Half Shell (feature film for Paramount Pictures, Exec. Prod. Michael Bay), The Stakelander (feature film for Syfy), No Tomorrow (1-hour comedy for CBS/CW) and Stan Against Evil (episodic for IFC).

Currently, Chad is casting with Lisa Fields Casting. He also had the pleasure of working with: Marc Hirschfeld/Geralyn Flood Casting, Barbara Florentino Casting and April Webster & Associates. Chad is a graduate of CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory and Interlochen Arts Academy. He is a proud member of the Casting Society of America and Teamsters Local 399.


REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.

Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this class. Your last frequency-restricted class must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register. 

NO LATE ARRIVALS and NO WALK-INS are admitted. Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will be admitted to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be admitted at the door. Please do not show up if you have not been explicitly confirmed as RSVPed.
