SYNOPSIS

So, when speaking “General American English” you have an accent and you’re not sure if it’s helping or hurting your acting career.  Well, everyone has an accent, but how you manage your accent is an important skill for you to master.  A believable “General American” sound is an incredibly useful tool even for actors who do most of their work in their native dialect.  In this class, Dialect Coach, Voice Actor, and Accent Management Expert, Eliza Jane Schneider, will teach you how to identify your idiolect: (that which makes your accent unique) and authentically create your “American Accent” avatar to book more mainstream jobs, while using the same tools to dial in your native accent more specifically when the job calls for it.  Learn to hear yourself the way others hear you, and scientifically gain control of your accent and your career.
