SYNOPSIS

The moving new comedy from Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Tamara Jenkins (The Savages, Slums of Beverly Hills), PRIVATE LIFE is a bracingly funny and often emotional examination of the unpredictability of modern marriage. Desperate to start a family, Manhattan-based writer Rachel (Kathryn Hahn) finds herself descending deeper and deeper into the insular world of assisted reproduction and domestic adoption with her loving husband Richard (Academy Award®-nominee Paul Giamatti). Just as the two feel they are at the end of their middle-aged rope, an unexpected surprise in the form of college dropout Sadie (Kayli Carter) enters their lives and opens their world to new possibilities.

***PLEASE NOTE: This is a joint event with another group. Please make sure you check in with the SAG-AFTRA FOUNDATION to avoid being a no show. You will be on the SAG-AFTRA FOUNDATION list. Seating process is at the discretion of the organizers***

SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations and The Business programs are open to SAG-AFTRA and AEA members only, unless otherwise specified.

You MUST bring your paid-up, valid SAG-AFTRA or AEA ID card (or your receipt of current payment) for admittance. No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.

One guest is allowed at this program (guest does not have to be a Union member). You must RSVP for a guest and they must check in with you. Seats cannot be held.

Seats are NOT guaranteed. Programs are overbooked to ensure a full house.

Late arrivals will not be admitted.

No photography or audio/video recording permitted.

No soliciting (including giving out headshots, reels, business cards, scripts) or autograph seeking from guest speakers

When you register for a program you are expected to stay for the entire Q&A as a courtesy to our guest speaker(s).

There is no food or drink allowed in the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Screening Room. Only bottled water.

This program may include explicit, sexual, disturbing or offensive content and is intended for mature audiences only.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or service to anyone.

Cancellations must be made by midnight prior to the day of the program.

Failure to fulfill a RSVPed reservation or arrival after check-in is completed will be recorded as a no-show.

Three no-shows within a year of the first missed program will result in restriction from attending SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations or The Business programs for 90 days.

The no-show policy does not apply to WAITLISTED reservations – UNLESS you are moved to the RSVP list. If you have been moved to the RSVP list and will not be attending you must cancel by midnight to avoid being recorded as a no-show. Your status will be changed no later than midnight prior to the day of the program – to give you time to cancel.

Waiting List –

If you are on the waiting list and a spot opens up you will be moved to the RSVP list and notified via email (by midnight prior to the day of the program). You may also check your status at any time by logging into our website. By signing up for the waiting list you are telling us that you are want to attend the program so if that changes please cancel your waitlist reservation. If you are still on the waiting list the day of a program you are welcome to show up to see if space is available. You WILL NOT be recorded as a no-show if you are still on the waiting list and do not attend or if you show up and do not get in.
