This is a remote event, facilitated online through the program Zoom. RSVP-ed members will receive the Zoom link by email ONE HOUR prior to the start of the program.
How-To Use Zoom to Join a Session
- You will have the strongest connection on a computer connected to the internet via ethernet.
- If you must use WiFi, please be on a personal network, not a public network such as Starbucks or the public library.
- If you need to use video/audio during your session, you will need a computer with a webcam and/or microphone. If you do not have this, you can download the Zoom app on your smartphone.
- Please remember to keep your audio muted unless you are speaking. To avoid audio feedback, we suggest wearing headphones.
Windows or Mac Computer
- Click on the Zoom Meeting link found in your email invite.
- You will be prompted to download or open Zoom. (If you cannot download Zoom, you may participate directly through Google Chrome.)
- Enter your name and click “Join Meeting”.
- If you would like to talk during the session, click “Join with Computer Audio”. Otherwise click the “X” in the corner.
- If you would like to share your webcam, click “Start Video” in the bottom left corner.
- You’re in!
iPhone and iPad
- Open the Zoom mobile app. (Download from the App Store)
- Tap the “Join a Meeting” button.
- Enter the meeting ID number found in your email invite, and your display name.
- Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and tap “Join”.
- You’re in!
Android
- Open the Zoom mobile app. (Download from Google Play Store)
- Tap “Join a Meeting” in the bottom right corner.
- Enter the meeting ID number found in your email invite, and your display name.
- Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and tap “Join Meeting”.
- You’re in!
Telephone (for audio only)
- Dial the phone number provided in your email invite.
- Enter the meeting ID number when prompted using your dialpad.
- You’re in!
SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations and The Business programs are open to SAG-AFTRA and AEA members only, unless otherwise specified.
You MUST bring your paid-up, valid SAG-AFTRA or AEA ID card (or your receipt of current payment) for admittance. No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.
Late arrivals will not be admitted.
No photography or audio/video recording permitted.
No soliciting (including giving out headshots, reels, business cards, scripts) or autograph seeking from guest speakers.
When you register for a program you are expected to stay for the entire Q&A as a courtesy to our guest speaker(s).
This program may include explicit, sexual, disturbing or offensive content and is intended for mature audiences only.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or service to anyone.
Cancellations must be made by midnight prior to the day of the program.
Failure to fulfill a RSVPed reservation or arrival after check-in is completed will be recorded as a no-show.
Three no-shows within a year of the first missed program will result in restriction from attending SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations or The Business programs for 90 days.
The no-show policy does not apply to WAITLISTED reservations – UNLESS you are moved to the RSVP list. If you have been moved to the RSVP list and will not be attending you must cancel by midnight to avoid being recorded as a no-show. Your status will be changed no later than midnight prior to the day of the program – to give you time to cancel.
Waiting List –
If you are on the waiting list and a spot opens up you will be moved to the RSVP list and notified via email (by midnight prior to the day of the program). You may also check your status at any time by logging into our website. By signing up for the waiting list you are telling us that you are want to attend the program so if that changes please cancel your waitlist reservation. If you are still on the waiting list the day of a program you are welcome to show up to see if space is available. You WILL NOT be recorded as a no-show if you are still on the waiting list and do not attend or if you show up and do not get in.
