SYNOPSIS

Nowadays, success as an Audiobook Narrator requires several skill sets… including mastering your tech, your technique and your branding as well as curating new clients.  Learn one or learn them all... What else do you have to do with all this time on your hands.  The times they are…. yeah. Changing. So. What’s a voice actor to do?

In this 2 day Masterclass we will cover essential audiobook narration skills, studio set up, recording software requirements as well.  As how and where to establish an online profile as well as demo vs sample requirements. 

Also, when and how to reach out to major publishers


INSTRUCTOR BIO

Christa Lewis is an Audie Nominee 2020 and 2018, the winner of the SOVAS Voice Arts Award 2019 and Sultry Listeners Award 2019. She has been awarded 7 Earphones Awards for her narrations since 2015.

Christa has been featured inAudioFilemagazine and her recordings are Audible bestsellers in Mystery/Thriller, YA, Literary Fiction and Erotica. She has recorded 185 audiobooks.

Christa is a classically trained actress with a 4 year conservatory training in Voice and Acting. She got her start at the microphone in 1995 as newsreader for an international TV news broadcaster, and is featured on installations, cartoons, museum guides, documentaries and video games. She is a podcast contributor in a variety of genres. Christa speaks accent-free German fluently and can offer a variety of accents and dialects. 

Christa Lewis teaches the VO Bootcamp and Audiobook Production and Narration Masterclass.


REQUIREMENTS

You must be able to attend both classes (Class 1 on Friday, May 29, 2020 and class 2 on Saturday, May 30, 2020.  Each class is 3-hours from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM (PDT/Pacific) - 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (EDT/Eastern).  The no-show policy applies to each class in the course.

All participants admitted to this course will be on the RSVP list.  We need to clarify that an RSVP is an entry to this program.  It is not an automatic designated reader opportunity.  If the instructor integrates readers into the course content, those readers will be selected and notified of their designation prior to the start of the course.  Being an RSVP enables you to access all of the important information about audiobooks that our instructor wants to share, which can be vital to your exploration of audiobook narration. However, it does not guarantee you an opportunity to read for the instructor. 

Attendees must stay for the entirety of each of the classes in this 2-class course.
