*** "WEBSITE WORKSHOP, PART 2 ONLINE" -- DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS ***
NOTE: This is a THREE HOUR class that will take place ONLINE.
The purpose of this workshop is to pick up where members left in the Part 1 class. That said, this is not a rehash of that previous class. In this three hour class, members will learn various new skills to enhance their existing actor website. During the first half of the class, we discuss search engine optimization, creating blog pages, customizing themes and fonts, adding custom code, creating one page websites, among others. During the second half of the class, you'll be given the chance to incorporate these new features into your existing website .
This class is not an introduction on how to use a computer, so basic computer skills are needed. No exceptions.
*** COMPUTER LAB RULES ***
SAG-AFTRA Foundation Computer Lab classes are open to SAG-AFTRA members only.
You MUST have your paid-up, valid SAG-AFTRA card (or your receipt of current payment) for admittance. No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.
When you register for an event you are expected to stay for the entire class as a courtesy to our guest speaker(s).
Cancellations must be made by midnight prior to the day of the event.
Late arrivals will not be admitted.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or service to anyone.
*** NO-SHOW POLICY ***
Failure to fulfill a SEATED reservation or arrival after check-in is completed will be recorded as a “No-Show.”
Two "No-Shows" within 60 days will result in restriction from attending Computer Labs or Classes for 90 days.
*** WAITLIST ***
If you are on the wait list and a spot opens up you will be moved to the RSVP list and notified via email (by midnight prior to the day of the event). You may also check your status at any time by logging into our website. By signing up for the waiting list you are telling us that you are want to attend the event so if that changes please cancel your waitlist reservation. If you are still on the wait list the day of an in-person event you are welcome to show up to see if space is available. You WILL NOT be recorded as a no-show if you are still on the wait list and do not attend or if you show up and do not get in.
