ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Gy Mirano  is a New York actress, voiceover artist and arts advocate originally from South America.  Some of her voiceover credits include, Nikon, Avon, Bellagio, Ford, Folgers, Time Magazine, The New York Times, FEMA, Bloomberg, PBS, HBO, MoMa and LACMA.  She was the Spanish-language announcer for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, and for the campaign of U.S. Senator, Catherine Cortez.  Her television and film credits include: Law & Order, Against the Law, Crime Story, Double Deception, Real Sports, Paragraph 175, Front Line, Dora the Explorer, Les Petites Canailles, Sticky Fingers, Call Me, Now is Forever, 3 Américas and Rights on the Line.  

She is on the Advisory Board and Film jury of CUNY's The Americas Films Festival of New York, Advisory Board of the Jersey City Arts Council and Film Jury at the Queens World Film Festival.

Her work as a performer together with her advocacy of Latin American arts and culture in the U.S. was recently recognized with the Gabriela Mistral, Julia de Burgos, Frida Kahlo Award.

Ms. Mirano is honored to serve as a voiceover coach/instructor at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's EIF Voiceover Lab in New York and is always eager to share her expertise with aspiring and established performers.
