CASTING DIRECTOR BIO

Caitlin Well is a Casting Director with over twelve years of experience in the entertainment industry.  Caitlin moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Syracuse University’s prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Film & Television and a minor in Acting.  She started her career in casting as an assistant to Ronna Kress before making the transition to Casting Associate on the studio side in the Warner Bros. Feature Casting department under Lora Kennedy and Kristy Carlson.  In her four years at WB, Caitlin worked on DC Blockbuster’s like Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as Oscar winning films like Argo.  She then moved to Melbourne for a year where she continued to work in casting alongside Thea McLeod, known for the long running Australian staple Neighbours.  Upon her return to LA, Caitlin joined John Papsidera’s Automatic Sweat team where they cast a wide range of film and TV projects from Venom and Midway to Lost in Space (Netflix) and Yellowstone (Paramount Network).  In 2019 Caitlin started her own casting company, initially partnering with fellow Casting Director Jennifer Presser.  Together they worked closely with Greg Silverman’s Stampede Ventures on indies with strong female writer/directors like the upcoming Alice and Pink Skies Ahead (SXSW official selection 2020), in addition to casting the Netflix hit American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules, Stereoscope (Facebook Watch), and the award-winning digital series Girl’s Room written by Lena Waithe.
