SYNOPSIS
This class will include a Q&A and a PREPARED READING session with an experienced casting professional.
Please prepare a scene 2 minutes or less from FILM/TV that you feel best showcases your work.
A reader will be available on ZOOM during the class.
All actors will need to email a PDF. of their chosen scene to castingaccess@sagaftra.foundation for the reader by 9:00am PST on August 19th. The subject needs to be Casting Access- Derek Hersey. The body of the email MUST include the role that the reader will be reading if you are doing a scene.

CASTING DIRECTOR BIO
Derek Hersey is a casting associate at Kromer Casting, where he has worked on several upcoming series and feature films. Previously, he worked at Rob Decina Casting, where his projects included the first season of a Netflix dark comedy series, seasons 2 and 3 of the police drama SHADES OF BLUE (NBC) starring Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta, as well as the New York casting for the upcoming feature film GREYHOUND starring Tom Hanks, coming to theatres in 2020, and numerous network pilots. Prior to that, Derek worked with Mackey/Sandrich Casting on the feature film THE COMEDIAN, directed by Taylor Hackford and starring Robert De Niro and Leslie Mann.

You must have completed a Casting Access Application prior to registering for this class.
Please note that the 90-day frequency restriction applies to this workshop. Your last frequency-restricted workshop must have taken place no less than 90 (ninety) days prior to this event to be eligible to register.
Only those participants who have received a telephoned or e-mailed confirmation message from staff will receive a link inviting them to the session. Waitlisted individuals who have not received such confirmation will not be sent the link to join the class.
